Birthday dinner

Roy and Alex's birthdays are just over a week apart so we did birthday dinner over at Grandma and Grandpa Schneiders.

Games

Family games with Jayde and Wil. She gets competitive and loves to play Settlers of Catan. We were teaching her how to play cities and nights so that was fun too.

Enjoying playing outside under our patio while the neighbors swam.

Oh my goodness I have a teenager. I don't know how to handle this. He really is good and I am proud of the young man he is becoming. For his birthday dinner he chose Olive Garden. He enjoyed it and was a little embarrassed when we sang to him but not too much.

Promotion

Justin missed his 6th grade promotion due to a stomach bug that went through our house but they did give him his certificate.

Hoe Down

Robert's 4th grade class did a square dance for all of parents to see. The teacher said this set of kids were one of the best square dancers she has had in a long time.

As I watched Robert dance I realized he has a little bounce in his step like my dad did. It brought back a lot of memories and was cool for me.

Then they had the parents try.

Jacob hurt his toe almost two months ago. He dropped the metal tee on it and his toe has been black and blue since. Well his nail finally fell off. He was quite overwhelmed by the experience and wonders if it will ever be "normal". He is a funny kid and seems to find ways to injure himself. Hopefully it will heal up soon and he will stop worring about it so much.
