Greek plays

It's tradition at Del Dayo to do Greek plays in the sixth grade. They are split into groups and then they are required to make a play regarding something they learned this year about Greek mythology. The plays were done quite well and were funny. They put modern language and terms into it. As much as Justin says he is shy he shines in a crowd and did really well with his part.

Justin and Ben Gibson "Best Friends"

Fun at work.

Shauna and I are the only two active mormons at this particular work site. So they tend to do special things for us when it comes to alcohol jokes. They made this candy dish and said its her Mormon margarita. She laughed and ate a couple of pieces of candy and went about the day.

Somewhat crafty

Greek plays are a tradition in the 6th grade at Del Dayo elementary school and they have to dress up. Justin is an announcer so it just had to be simple. I just went and bought a sheet from the thrift store along with the gold belt it cost me altogether $4. I put it over him and cut a hole for his head and trimmed the bottom. Then I just folded up the sides to look like layers, and presto a costume. I am not very crafty so I am quite pleased with this.

Rodeo

Family day at the rodeo. I was given free tickets and the boys hadnt been to a rodeo yet. I know we are slacking but it was nice that they are a bit older and had fun.

At the end they had motorcross bikes out doing tricks. The boys loved this part and Jacob is even more excited about riding a motorcycle. Of course my stomach churned everytime they did a trick. I think I am getting old and it sucks.

Justin really wanted a hat he was trying really hard to convince me to buy it. It didnt work but he does look good.

Jayde's BooBoo

Jayde calls and says hey if my arm is still bleeding after work will you take me to the doctor. WHAT.....after talking to her and finding out that an hour and half earlier she was washing a cup at Starbucks and it broke and cut her and that the cut on her arm kept bleeding. I convinced her to leave work and get stitches. First time she has ever had them, at least it was only two.

Coming home

whoses idea was it to fly out at 1155pm, oh thats right mine. I didn't want to leave at 8 am and this was the next flight out. Even though we got stuck in denver for three hours I am glad we left at that the time we did and got to spend one more day with our family and friends.

Saying goodbye

Saturday was a slow relaxing day and we ended it with a concert at their church. We said goodbye and headed for the airport. This was a great vacation and loved to see family and friends and finally put faces with names and know the area that they live in. I am glad that we are able to see Kayla and Hollie every year when they come to live with Marc, sad that I don't get to see the rest of the family that much. I enjoyed seeing my best friend and seeing where she works and lives. I am so glad that we could go and be apart of Kaylas special week.

Kayla&Victoria

Kayla and her boyfriend.

They know how to party. DJ, food, pinatas, and fireworks, snow, heaters and firepits. They say this was the longest winter they have had in like thirty years. It was really and truly the only "cold' day there that we were all bundled up for. We still had a blast.
