Thanksgiving

A new tradition, maybe. Turkey day football. The grandchildren and a few of the younger adult males played a game of football in the front yard. Jilianne was a trooper and played with all the boys, the lone girl. They had lots of fun and goofed off a lot.
Alex showing them how not to tackle.

Justin with no shoes, waiting for offense.
Michael got Alex, a loss of maybe a few inches.

Roy had a chance to be the quarterback.

Oh no.

Nothing like leaning over the stove and your only white cardigan sweater catching on fire. Made for a fun sunday afternoon.

Alison

Miss Alison as most people call her, showing off her curls.
The rest of us were busy packing and getting ready for them to move here and she was just too cute not to take breaks for.

Long Roads, Beautiful Sky

I had the opportunity to drive down to Marc and Angies in Apple Valley and help them load their truck and drive back to Sacramento. The drive down was interesting, It was sunny and clear then it would be raining, then while in the desert I had flash flooding which took me on an hour detour. All in all I enjoyed the drive and it was nice to have some alone time to reflect and find some peace. The night before I left I went and said my good byes to my dear friend Julie Porter. Although I am grateful she is no longer in pain, i will miss her terribly. She was a true example of Christ. Putting others before her even at her funeral where we got a handout. A rock to think of the things we are grateful for. As I drove pondering the life we have on this earth and coming onto blue skies instead of dark purple it brought hope and I could feel the spirit around me. Little did I know during this time in my drive is when Julie passed away to live with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and her past relatives. There is something about the sky opening up and seeing the heavens around that brings joy and happiness to me. I am glad i went on the trip and had time to reflect and to feel of the spirit.

Monopoly

Justin has been grounded for over a week due to his grades. It is amazing what he will talk his brothers into because he can't watch tv, play video games, or have anything electronic. They have been playing this game off and on for two days. You may not think this is a big deal but it is. The "Schneider" family does not play Monopoly it was ruined for them all when they were little. Something about people cheating and things along those lines. PJ says I cheat at this game and doesn't like to play. I dont see how you can cheat at this game but that is his claim. The game ended with tears and some hurt feelings but they made it through a game. It was an amazing thing to see.

Field Trip

I have never been to the California Museum before, it was fun to go with the fourth grade class from Westside and see and learn more things about California. The side of this building when looking at it just right its says RIGHTS in the the back ground with words from our declaration all over the wall. You can somewhat make out the G, and the H protruding.
